about us
our journey
Penn Park Properties has been active in the rental market since 1998.

What makes us unique is our commitment to renovate buildings in the Millionaires Row National Historic District. All of our properties are located within that Historic District. Most were constructed in the late 1800s and are important to Williamsport’s lumber era heritage.
In keeping with that sense of history, many apartments retain architecturally interesting features including exposed beams and original walls & moldings. Over the years, we have renovated every apartment in some capacity, and we enjoy sharing these distinct rentals with our tenants.
The journey begins
Our journey began in 2000 when we purchased 951 and 955 West Fourth Street. We subsequently acquired eleven more buildings through 2011. Most properties suffered from years of neglect, and it is our goal to renovate each of the thirteen buildings.
Our journey stats
Since our inception we’ve
- Refurbished 62 apartments
- Reroofed 10 buildings
- Upgraded or replaced 13 heating systems
- Painted 11 building exteriors
The journey continues
Each summer, we identify certain projects for upgrades or repair, and those units which need refurbishment. This approach to improvements sets us apart, and it is not uncommon for us be told “We can always tell which properties belong to Penn Park”.
Our Team
Kathryn Nassberg
OWNER
Kathryn purchased her first building in 1998, and in 2003 started the forerunner to Penn Park Properties.
Her philosophy for success is to provide premier apartments and prompt responses to tenant needs. Because we have an office next to campus and a full time staff, we are easily accessible, and our tenant turnover is the lowest in our market!
Patrick Shearer
PROPERTY MANAGER
Patrick is responsible for leasing and also manages day-to-day tenant affairs.
He joined the company recently in 2021 and brings with him over 10 years of property management experience from the West Coast. A Williamsport native, Patrick is very happy to be back home!
Mike Eveleth
SERVICE MANAGER
Mike has been our service manager for over 20 years, and he is responsible for the care and maintenance of our 14 buildings.
Mike knows the workings of each building well and is able to troubleshoot problems easily. His close relationship with outside contractors ensures prompt assistance to maintenance issues. Mike is an avid sportsman and especially enjoys hunting and fishing.
